COLLISION IN ENGLISH CHANNEL
ORTONA SINKS A SMALL STEAMER, Received 17, 4.30 p.m. -i London, April 17. ' The Ortona, when 20 miles south of Eddystone, collided with the l*n»ll! steamer Tryst, which struck the OrWlujf amidships on the port side. Tho 0> lona's screw was twisted, but no inat<* rial damage was done. The captain of the Ortona states that when the colli! sion occurred there was no one at tht Tryst's bridge wheel. The Tryst foujh dcrcd, the crew being rescued. -J
