.Melbourne, April 10. The session of the Loyal Orange (irand Council of Australasia has closed. A comprehensive political programme was adopted. The general aims of tile body were stilted to be opposed to any form of socialism which was opposed' to Christianity, and to oppose any action making for the disitegration of the Empire. It supported the preservation of State riglits, and n rigid exclusion from civil administration of all denominational recognition. influence Orange lodges are to lie turned into political league's on similar . lines to labour leagues to undertake a propaganda work und to select Parliamentary candidates. It includes un effective subsidy to the British navy, nn adei|iiale harbor and coast defence] citizen soldiery, and universal training, a lived llschl policy for the betterment of economic, social ana domestic conditions «f all wage eurner*. the total abolition of sweating, an ndeoiiuto liv-' iug wage, co-operation of labour and oipitnl in the production and distribution, preferential trade within the Empire by (he creation of a representative council to deal with mutters of Im|ierial concern.
