OPUNAKE SPORTS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Opunake Caledonian Society he'd their usual bye meeting on Easter Monday. The attendance was not up to the usual number, probably owing to the wet weather of the previous day causing many people to think the ground would be wet underfoot. This, however, was aot the case, as the ground was very dry and the weather was peiicrt. An interesting day's sport had been provided, and some good finishes bore out the correctness of the handicapping Of Mr. O'Dca. Four teams entered for the football tournament, which was ultimately won by Opunake, who defeated the redoubtable Mangatoki team by 3 points to nil.
