FATAL FALL OVER A CLIFF. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Duncdin, Saturday Night. William Ilnrkin. a. well-dressed man. f'll or threw himself over Hie face of! Logan Point quarry this forenoon, and was fatally injured, lie died in the hospital without regaining consciousness shortly after admission. A young man at a boatshed in the vicinity heard a cry from the quarry, and on looking there he saw something tumbling down itho rocky face. He and another man hurried. to the quarry and found the unfortunate man at .the bottom of the 'fae», alive but unconscious, his head being badly injured. He was 28 years of age, and was married. The police have been informed that deceased recently came from Auckland, and was living with his wife's parents in Dunedin.

The evidence showed that Daly had been greatly depressed since a touting accident some 'months ago in which his companion lost bis life.
