Mr. S. Richardson has joined the Ximrod as second ollicer. lU' was formerly an officer in ithle service of the l\ and O. Company, but caiuie out from Home in the service of the Union Steam Ship Company. Until a few weeks ago lie was tlwril officer of th:' Wailmra, but resigned from the Union Company's service to ■return lo England.
