Tho wheat market is strong, ami •holders are very linn, owing to the mill•stiuitial decrease in the world's weekly Shipments, the prospects of still smaller jsliipments in the near future, and the ' r.intifipation of higher pricus. ' I The American markets are excited lowing to the report that they will require 50,000,000 bushels of American Iwheat during tho -next four months. May whuat in Gliicago yesterday ttouched 125% cents, with a sharp corresponding advance at Nfcw York. ■ The American visible supply is 81,(D 86,000 bushels. Australian cargoes are strongly held. fllarch-April shipment 42s 3d, 42s (id; r 'April-May shipment. 435. Sale's of itliree . cargoes have been madv at 42s Od, two lat 42s 3d, three at 425, one at 41s 4'/ 3 d. ' (Australian on spot is selling readily at ; 43s 4d, 43s Od. •• Flour is firmer, wilth good sales 'in iLooidon at 30s and 31s ex store, with Glasgow holders asking 32s 6d.
