WEDDING.

McDIAIIAIID—LITTLEJOIIN, TJiv wediiiug oi' Auuii; Liltk'juim, daughter of Mr. Alex. Littlejohn, of •Tflkvcra-l-crracc, Wellington, to Dr. McDhmuid, of Hawera, und lately of New Plymouth, was wlebralt'd on Tuesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Wolliiigton-terraco, by the Kov. J. lttM'd CLass-on. The bride, who wim given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of oyster-white «atin, trimmed with real lace. She was attended by the Misses B. Littlcjohn, Lily Mallard, and GJadys Gill. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Chanoy as best man, and 1 Dr. Blackley and Mr. Johnstone as groonismen. After the ceremony a reception was held at tin? residence of the bride's parents. Mrs. Gaiwpbell, the bride's aunt, and Mrs. i Littlejobn, grandmother of the bride, were among the guests. The bridesmaids made an exeeptioijally dainty trio, attired in Empire frocks of white marquisette over heliotrope silk, with guimpe.s of embroidered not, and trimmed with bands of the material worked in the Creek key pattern. Heliotrope satin <sashe« were added, and their dainty white erinojine hats were swathed -with lieliotrtvpe ehiil'on and finished with heliotrope quills. They carried bouquets to match, and wore the bridegroom's gifts, gold brooches. The bride's .mother wore an elegant gown of striped black ninon over white taffeta, with a gujmpe of cream lace and a modish white and black hat with tulle swathery and green wings. Mm. Vary Canupbeil, the bridegroom's aunt, who came from Midlothian, Scotland, to be i present at the wedding, wore a lovely gown of cream crepe-dO-chine trimmed with real hice. adding a .Josephine scarf and black plumed hat. Sirs'. Littlejohn. grandmother of the bride, wore black ehilVon voile, with a ha'ailsome black satin saeque and black bonnet. The presents .received by tile Itappy pair, numbering about one hundred mid fifty, were most beautiful .and costly, and included a cheque for £SOO. After the reception Dr. and Mrs. McDiarmid 'left for the North on their honeymoon tour, the brid<! travelling an a smart mole tailor-made t'weed! costume, adding a large mole hat trimmed with prune velvet and beautiful white fox furs. In the evening ;i large miml>er of guests were entertained at a charming dance by Sir. and Mrs. LHtlejohn at -their residence, Tulavera-terrace, the Jarge marquee which had been erected on the lawn for the wedding dejeuner servhg as a supper-room.
