CLAIM AGAINST THE CROWN. By Telegraph.—l'ress Association. DunciUn, Last Niglit. Judgment was given to-day- in t'iic case in which the; Calton Hill lirick, Tile and Township Company sought to recover damages from the Crown. The company asserted that in consequence of tunnelling in connection with the duplication of the Mosgiel railway the brick kiln gradually weakened ami finally was destroyed, and the company was thereby hampered and injured in the conduct of its business as' brickmakers and ultimately deprived of its business. The claim originally was for IMtfOO, but the Slem lof .CliiOO for depreciation was abandoned. The Omrt awarded claimant company £ISOO.
