The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenev Company, Limited, have received the following cable from their London house under yesterday's date:—"As compared with last sale's closing rates prices are about 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, higher for fine greasy crossbred, about 5 per cent, higher for wmDs', greasy merino super, coarse greasy crossbred; about 5 per cent, to 7</ 3 per cent, higher for crossbred slipe and scoured crossbred; about 7'/ 3 per cent, to 10 per cent, higher for merino scoured and greasy merino medium. The. outlook is encouraging. Average current London values for the following descriptions oi New Zealand greasy wools are: Good merino 13d, medium lid, inferior »%ds fine crossbred 13% d, medium 10V s d coarse (fortys) Bd, coarse (thirty-sixes) 7i/„d. At the sales 183,000 bales were sold, 89,000 bales for the Continent. Sales closed strong; 18,000 bales taken for America, and 13,000 bales held over.
