(Prom Our Own Correspondent). .The result of the trial of Dr. Gooile was generally anticipated here, a.nd the I ease has been looked on as a tragic object-lesson on the evils of intemperance. That a very large proportion of criminal offences can be directly or indirectly traced to'drink is making itself so manifest, coupled with the growing disfavor with which medical men view alcohol, that it is apparent that in the near future the growing demand of t'.ic people for Dominion option must be given effect to. The Harvest Thanksgiving in connec tion with the Wesleyan Church was held in the schoolroom on Sunday, 21st March, when the Rev. F. T. Read preached in impressive sermon.
