ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Bishop, S.M., District Coroner ,'helu an inquest at Lytteltou this morning into the death of William Marin a greaser, who died suddenly on the steamer Kakauoa on -Monday night. After hearing evidence of Dr. Nowell, who'had made a post mortem evinuimtVil, and of two 111051 who had lieeu in doceased's ■ company, the Coroner pronounced that death was due to .heart disease.
A SUICIDE CASE. Wellington, Last Night. At an inquest on S. Hogers. whose body was found in the harbor, the evidence showed that deceased was 50' years old. He was married, though it is not known where liis wife and children are. He was a tailor, and came from Auckland in January seeking work. He had been worried through lack of employment and had threatened to take his life. A verdict was retum.il that deceased was found drowned and that there was clear evidence of suicide.
A SAWMILL ACCIDENT. Invercargill, Last Night. Donald McGregor, a sawmill hand at Forest Hill, while working at a crosscut saw to-day, had an arm severed below the elbow. McGregor is now in hospital doing as well as possible.
