The Xgamotu links were in capital order for play on the opening day. The fern had been cut oil the course, and the green were good. The links should be in capital order for the Easter tournament, e ntries for which close on Wednesday. At present players are expected from all parts of Taranaki, Wellington, Wanganiii, Auckland, and Masterton.
The pavilion looks all the better ior its coat of paint received in the off-sea-son. Tli<. "colIin" green will be available for play on Wednesday, weather permitting. It will be closed then until Hie Easter tournament.
The telephone has been installed at the clubhouse, and is already proving invaluable to members. At the annual meeting of the Masterton Coif Club Mr. A. liewlcy forwarded his resignation as treasurer of the club, as he was shortly leaving the district. It was decided that a letter be forwarded to Mr. Bcwlcy. expressing the club'appreciation of his services.
