GUBERNATORIAL APPOINTMENTS.
Received March 28, 4.30 p.m. Brisbane, March 27. Sir J. McGregor, (jorernor of Newfoundland, has been appointed Governor of Queensland. Received March 28, 4.15 p.m. Loadon, March 27. Renter's St. John correspondent says that Sir William MaeGregor's promotion to the Governorship of Queensland is universally admitted to be well deserved. He is regarded as by fur the most successful Governor Newfoundland iuis had in modern times, handling a succession of difficult questions with rare judgment.
