WANGANUI RUGBY U\l(iX. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wangauui. Last Night. The annual meeting „f tbe Wanganni Rugby Union was llield on Saturday evening. The report showed a fairl'v successful past season, with a slight docrease in gate receipt. The following olliecrs were elected:-Prcsfdcnl. Mr. Gen. Spriggins; vieo-prcisidents. AU'issrs .1. Wosncy. ft. Simpson, ami Dr. Wall: secretary, Air. 11. Duuclov; Ircasurer, Mr. L. Craig; commit lee. Alessrs CI. Thompson. A. ("Irav. L. Funic, T,. Basselt. K. Ashcroft, and K. Pencil; vicepresident of New Zealand Union. Air. L. Bassetl (four others to lie apiiointed later). Air. W. Empson resigned office as patron and vice-president of I InNew Zealand Union, and was unanimously elected a life niembci- of Hie Union. A vote of thanks was accorded (o Air. T. llymas, who for sixteen years has been Waiiganui's deh'gate to the New Zealand Union, on his retirement from office.
