WELLINGTON WLLAKYES. m Telegraph.- Press \ssociation. Wellington, Last Night. The ceremony of laying the last block of the King's 'Wharf, costing, with two sheds and breastwork, .C7!>,4411, was conducted this afternoon bv Mr. T. M. Wilford, i1.1'., chairman of the Wellington Harbor Board.
EXAMINATION OF .MILK. Wellington. Last Night.' The City Council to-night adopted the recommendation of a committee for the establishment of a depot where all milk for consumption in the city shall he examined and cooled. The cost will be about ,rail)ll a vear.
KNOX COLLEUE. Dtinedin, Last Night. At to-day's meeting of the Knox College (the .new Presbyterian residential college) the master reported that there would be 41 students in residence during the winter. The official opening, at which the Coventor and Sir doseph Ward have signified their willingness to be present, will not take place until the end of .May. but the college will be open to students on April 22. On that day all students will take up their residence, except the medicals, whose session does not begin until May I.
