FOOTBALL.
| At the annual meeting of the Haw era football Club the following official* were ! appointed: —Patron, Air. ti. Livingston: president, Mr. F. Livingston; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. A. Hunter, F. J. t'anipbell: delegate to Taranaki Union. Mr. \Y. J'nwdiell; secretaries, Messrs. JieumUli and Hammond; auditor, Mr. U. K. Page; treasurer, Mr. 1\ Quhi; general I'ouiinittee, Missi's. J. Cooper. <{regg, \\ liiUiiigiitii, Aiee Hunter, Villiirs; selection committee, Messrs. Beamish, Whitliugton, and L'noper. Kiglit new members were proposed. The balance-sheet showed the club to l>e in a sound financial position, there being a credit balance of ,C4l. The election of captain for the .senior team was left over. It was decided to open the season on Saturdav, Mareli 27.
The annual meeting of the Okaiawa Club was held on Saturday evening. The attendance was not large, and 011 calling for names of those who intended playing during the coining season only six responded, but later on the number was increased to ten. It was decided to adjourn the meeting until Monday night next, when a definite course of action will be taken re forming a playing club or otherwise. Messrs. O'Suliivau and Crowley were appointed delegates to attend the Union meetings. The balance sheet showed U credit of .■C-IO Ids lid. .1. O'Sullivan informed the meeting that lie did not inteud to play during this season.
