AN EXPLANATION.
To the Editor. Sir,—Kindly allow me to explain the incident iirielly referred to by Constable McTver in the. recent murder trial of Dr. Goode, 'where it is stated in evidence that Dr. Goode remembered Constable M'cTver through an injury done to the doctor on account of a disturbance that look place at the. Ecd Horisc Hold some IS months ago. The facts arc:—Dr. Goode drove up to my hotel, came inside, and asked for Jiqu'or, but. being apparently intoxicate'd, he was refused, and lie then created the disturbance referred to by Constable McIver, whom he threatened with certain penalties and myself he would report to the Licensing Committee. I merely mention this mutter, as being briefly referred to in (he evidence it might Im construed that tile doctor had been drinking on my promises, whereas lie had been refused.-T. am. etc..
