PLAGUE IN AUSTRALIA. Melbourne, March 15. Wearn, the latest plague patient, is dead. Reecived 15, 9.53 p.m. Sydney, March 15. ' A seaman on Uie French, steamer St. Louis has died of plague. Two hundred aad tliirty-five dead fats, infected with plague, have been found at Wearne's mill.
A SERIOUS CHARGE. Received 15, 11.13 p.m. Sydney, March 15. ' Jonathoa Henderson, managing director of the 'Pacific Fisheries, Limited,has jbeen arrested on a charge of conspiring to defraud. He was remanded on bail. THE PREMIERS' CONFERENCE. Melbourne, March 15. Mr. Andrea- Fisher, Federal Premier, states that lie is unable to see that the Conference of Premiers made a step in advance of anything done before. It practically wanted the Bradde* elause continued with a guarantee of a minimum amount. If the scheme were carried out it would hobble the Federal Parliament for all time. ' .WONDERFUL CAVES DISCOVERED. Melbourne, March 15. A wonderful series of caverns has -• Jiecn discovered buried in the heart of Cape Patten, near Apollo Bay. The caves contain a fresh-water lake fed from an unknown source, and a crystal chamber studded with stalactites and -stalagmites, and a floor gleaming with crystals.
