GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. Received 14, 4.30 p.m. Ottawa, March 13. I Tlie Canadian Government is to lend the Grand Trunk Pacific railway two million sterling at 4 per cent, for n period of ten years, for the purpose cf completing the Winnipeg-Wolf Creek section.
