Jfcrnell's lirst innings against Ponsonby realised 122 (Sale 45, Fairburn. 21 not out). McCoy took four wickets for 22. Pon'eonby made 21 for six wickets; Hutching* taking four wickets for 7 runs. University against Grafton made 141 (Robinson 54, Fawcett 32, Ellis 22). Mason took live wickets for 67 and 0. Hay four for 39. Grafton made 28 for the loss of one wicket.
