THE MONEY MARKET. The Bank rate is 3 per cent., and for 1 short loans 2% per cent. For three months bills the rate of discount is 2% per cent.; in Paris the rate is l'/» per cent., and at Berlin 2% per cent. GOVERNMENT SECURITIES. Consols, £B4; New South Wales. 3'/, per cents, .I'd 03; IY-th 3'/ 2 per cents, | £!)8 10s, three per cents £B7 10i. Other I stocks arc unchanged.

LONDON MARKETS. Received 12, 10.50 p.m. London, March 12. Wheat-Owing to the weakness in American wheat, the markets are dull, with a rather easier tendency. Holders of cargoes are generally firm. An Australian cargo was sold for 38s 10'/ 2 d and 30s 3d per quarter, and 27,000 quarters of April-May shipment 39s Od; 0500 quarters of April-May shipment 39s !)d. Australian spot is scarce at 41s and
