NEW ZEALAND TEAM KM AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of the council of Hie ,Ncw Zealand Rowing Association a suggestion was received from Auckland that arrangements be entered into with the Australian Rowing Association for an eight-oared crew from New Zealand to compete at the Australian championship meeting at Brisbane on May 18th. Correspondence from Melbourne indicated that visits of New Zealand oarsmen to Australia would be-most acceptable, provided the crews came within the inter-State definition of an amateur. The chairman (Mr. McYilly) said the cost of sending eight men would he over C 250. It was too late in the senson to do anything The council would be glad to assist towards sending a champion fours team if an inter-State fours race va< included in the programme.
