Tin plates, 12s 4d to 13s 4d. Angle steel, £o to £7. Copra—There is better demand iov South Sea copra, which is quoted at£l7 7s 6d. Hemp is quiet. April-Juue shipments quoted at £23 10s. Kauri gum—"Stock amounts to 458 tons. Wheat—A cargo of Australian wheat sold at 40s. Rabbits are easier, large Australians retailing at 17s to 18s, small sorts 15s ami l l6s. Slu\-p Canterbury unchanged. Southland 3'/ ( d, Xorth Island 3d, best brands 3'/id. Lambs: Canterbury light 5%d, medium 5 3-lGd, heavy 4%d; Southland are not quoted; North Wand 4 13-16 d. Beef—'Beef is unchanged!. 'Australian sheep—Heavy 27-10 d, light 29-16 d; lambs, best brands 4d, fair quality 3%d, inferior quality 3%d. Beef—Fores hinds unchanged. Ed amongst agents, who are pushing sales. large shipments are coining forward, and the prospects are unfavorable as buyers are not inclined to make forward purchases at present prices. .Following are the current quotations:— Canterbury 3%d, North Island 3d, River Date 2%<i, Australian 2'/«d. The lami market is weak. Stocks ar.' heavy and dull of sale for all brands. Current quotations are: Canterlurj 5%d, other than Canterbury i%i, Australian 4d. Beef—The market is steady, with a letter demand. Hindquarters 2%d, forequarters 3'/4d. Butter —The market is quiet and
steady, with an increasing demand for better grades. There is less demand for second-class quality. Choicest Xew Zealand 106s, Danish 115s, Australia-! 103s, Argentine 105s, and Siberian 102s. Cheese—The market is firm, with an
improved demand for colored makes, of which the demand exceeds the. supph. They are quoted at 64s and white makes at 60s.
Hemp—The market is quiet, with a *niall business doing. Holders »re more Rilling to sell. Current quotations art lis 'follows:—On spot, good fair grade ,£•23 10s, fair grade £22, fair current Manila £23; April-June shipments, good ■fair grade £23 ss, fair gTade £2l 15s. fair current Manila £22 ss. The stock theld in London amounts to 201 tons. Last week's Manila output was 25.000 ibales. Cocksfoot —There is no alteration in the cocksfoot (seed market since last week. Wool—The market is firm, with more enquiry, especially for fine quality. BASK OF AUSTRALASIA. Wellington, Monday. The Bank of Australasia dividend, called on Saturtlay, is 12 per ce'-it., not 12s per share. The former is equivalent to £2 8s jier share.
