VICKEUS AND STEVENS' REPORT. There was a big entry of sheep and a good attendance at our Inglcwood fair last Friday. Competition was good for most lines, especially young ewes, anything fat and. lorward celling well. Most lines were cleared ,al the hammer or privately at the following prices:—Twalooth ewes. 10s 3d to 12s Bd, do. wethers 7a Ud to IDs 3d, f.m. ewes 4s 3d lo 7s Ud, lambs as to 7s Id, cull lambs 2ii to 2s Ud, cull ewt-s Is' Ud to 3s 3d, Lincoln rams I'/igHc, Koniiicy rains £1 Is to £2 2s. On' Wednesday there was a small yarding of cuttlei and u. poor attendance. Ridding wau dull. Prices: Store cows 3as to 455, forward do. £3 to £3 12s Ud, fat do. £4 to £4 7s, mixed weaners Us 0d to 14s, weaner steers 12* Ud to lUs.

ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. Christchurch, AVeducsday. At the Addingtou yards to-day there were fairly large entries of stock and a good attendance. Eat cattle sold at about last week's rates. Store sheep and fat lambs were easier, and fat sheep sold at <still lower prices. Pigs sold well at lata rates'. There was a rather dull demand for store cattle.

There was an entry of 5001 fat iambs, or about 350 less than last week. The quality on the whole was good. The export buyers- having again reduced their limits, all classes were easier, heavy-weight iambs being ino?>t aU'ected. The buyers' limits are now 4'/>d for up to 3lilb. for 301b to 421b and second quality, 3%d for over -121b. There were 4U05 lambs taken for freezing at 12s 2d to Us 7d, and 321 by butchers, the top pricu for a few heavy-weights being 15s 0d to 17ft Ud; 75 were passed in. Fat Sheep.—Aged and inferior ewes showed the largest reduction in values, and the lowesL prices for the season were realised. Prime wethers 13s lid to 17s Id, others 12s Ud to loci, prime ewes 1U Ud to 14s, extra to 14s lid, medium Os (id to lis, aged and light Us to Us. The yarding of fat cattle totalled 305. The quality was somewhat below that of late sales. Steers being hi short supply, there was a lair deiuaud. Prices showed little or no alteration from last week. Steers made £U 17s lid to £ll 7s Ud, heifers £5 2© Ud to £7 12s Ud, cows £4 17s Ud to £B—equal to 22s to 23a for prime, IDs to 21s (id for medium, and 17s to 18s Gd for cow and inferior pea- 1001b. Veal calves sold at 4s 7d to 50s. There was a large entry ot store cattle, including some* good lines. The demand lacked the freshness shown at last sales. Local yearlings made 225, la to 18-months 38s to 48s, two-year steers £3 2s Ud to £3 us, two-year heifers £2 85' to £2 18s (3d, two-and-a-half-year steers £4 17s Ud, three-year steers £5 7s Gd to £O, dry cows 25s to .1:3. Southland cattle, of which there were consignments totalling about 150 head, made for yearlings 28s Ud, twoyear steers £2 8s to £2 17s, two-and-a-half to three-year heifers £3 10s, threeyear steers £5, three and four-year steers £0 IDs, dry cows 38s to £3 3s. Dairy cows were in only fair demand, and made £3 10s to £0 15s.

The entry of pigs was smaller than last week, and there was a lair demand at late rates. Choppers sold up to £4 10s, large baeoners 00s to U7s, lighter 48s to 50s (equal to 5d per lb), large choppers 42s to 50s, smaller 30s to 40s (equal to lid per lb), large stores 32s to 3Us, medium 28s to 31s, weaners 12s to 22s Ud. A line of about 70 from Cheviot made 12s Ud to 21s Ud.

WANG AN CI STOCK KEPOKT. Dalguty and Co. report:—We lield our annual sheep fail* at our Wanganui yards on Wednesday, when we yarded *13,000 sheep. We had a good attendance of Uuye>rs. As usual at this time of the year, a large quantity 01 old ewes were ottering, for which bidding was rather dragging, but priced realised must be considered satisfactory. Good classes of young sheep sold fairly well, but prices were inclined to be easier, tbo pruspect of a spell of dry weather probably affecting values. The Lincoln and Koinney sheep entered by D. l\ Cullinaac attracted keen, competition, the Lincoln ewes especially selling very well. At Wavedey bhecp fair on the 20th ult. we had a' very heavy yarding, the accommodation being taxed to the ut» most. DUN ICDIX STOCK MARKET. j Dunedin, Wednesday. I At the Rarnside stock market to-day IS2 fat cattle were yarded, a good proportion of which were light and unlinished. The attendance was somewhat smallur than usual, and prices showed no advance. Prime bullocks £0 10s to £ll 2s Ud, medium to good £8 to £O, light and uiitinished £U 10s to £7 10s. Sheep.— yarded. The quality was only medium, the bulk consisting of old ewes. There were a few pens of prime wethers, and those sold at late rates. Ewes of all classes suffered about 2s per head.
