ALLEGED UNJUST TREATMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invcrcargill, Last Night. The Southland Cricket Association tonight considered the position in which it is placed by the ruling of the Sports Federation causing three of the players selected for the Otago v. Southland match to lie considered disqualified, as hy purchase of members' tickets they have become members of the Southland Caledonian Society, though in two cases at least the membership was confined to merely donating to tile Society the price of the ticket, and the membership was purely passive, llie Association, lias wired to the Otago Association as follows: " Owing to the unjust treatment we have received from the New Zealand Cricket Council we have decided to postpone the match until we have placed our own case before the Council, as we cannot endorse the disqualifications placed on three members." To t're New Zealand Cricket Council the Southland Association has wired: "Your Council are respectably requested to allow the match Otago v. Southland to be played oil Wednesday as arranged, and that action be suspended until we have, stated our case to the Council, as we have very serious reasons for asking that the disqualification of the Southland players be removed; reply urgent." The position "is that the match, which was set down I for Wednesday, and' for which everything is in trim, will have to be postponed unless the permission to play be grafted by the New Zealand Council in time for the Otago players to be notified earlv to-morrow afternoon.
The Rovers' team to play Inglewood 011 the Recreation Sports Ground on Thursday at 2.15 sharp is as follows: Williams, Weston, Elliott, Price, HaseJl, Lash, Jlason, Braund. Arden, Cooper and Coppen. The team will hold practice every evening at the Recreation Sports Ground, commencing at 5 p.m.
