TERRORISM IN RUSSIA.
THE KATE OF A POLICE AGENT. St. Petersburg, February 20. Conflicting accounts are current regarding the terrorist .taffs fate. Stolypin, was an ordinary police agent to whom the revolutionists ascribed legendary qualities. Colossal crimes were denied, also the possibility of Azeff's participating in the murders of 11. Plehve and the (Jovernor of Lifa. After Azeff joined the central revolutionary committee there was not a single political murder. The committed was composed of nothing but revolutionists and there was not a word to show, that Azeff ever participated in a terrorist act.
The Government, it was stated, would relentlessly punish agents who provoked crimes as long as terror lasted. The spy service, must continue. Lopukhin, who betrayed Azeff to the revolutionaries, would shortly be tried,

The majority of the Douma are satistied with M. Stolypin's explanation regarding Azeff and are confident the Government will use all lawful means to combat terrorism.
