SHOOTING.
The Taranaki Riilc Association's programme will be brought to a conclusion this morning on the Rewa Rewa range. The cadets enrolled in the several schools of the district will assemble on the range at 10.30, and will fire three matches, the first being 7 shots at 200 yards (12 prizes); th» second a field firing match with teams of eight under an officer or N.C.0., 10 shots at ranges varying from 300 to 100 yards, two shots at each halt; the third being a grand aggregate, 10 shots at 200 yards, added to score in the first match. Post entries will be received, but we understand that the town schools have already sent forward a lengthy list of competitors who are seeking to do honour for the schools they represent. Major Sandford will be in charge on the range, and, given fine weather, the boys will, no doubt, show a good accountof their training.
