SWIMMING.

The West Coast swimming championship meeting, to be held at the Xew Plymouth municipal sa'twater baths on Thursday, promises to, be the most successful swimming meeting yet held in Xew Plymouth. The entrants include ex-champions of Xew Zealand, and practically all the leading swimmers i« the North Island. The meeting is being conducted under the auspices of the 'Sew Plymouth Amateur Swimming Club, and the executive committee lias 'framed its programme so that there Will be none of those "weary waits" that have characterised some of the swimming meetings previously. With an assurance oi a continuity of events, and music from a full orchestra, the public should spend an enjoyable alteri noon. Ample seating accommodation ! is heiug provided, and refreshments will ibe obtainable from the regular stall in the building.
