Cheese—The market is quiet, but firm. White makes are quoted at GOs. colored 03s.
Hemp—The market is weak and inactive. Current quotations:—On spot, good to fair grade £24 10s, fair grade £'22 IDs. Fair current .Manila. £23 10s, forward shipments, good to fair grade £24, fair grade £22, fair current, Manila £22 life. Last week's Manila output amounted to 21,000 bales. Cocksfoot—The market is dull. Buyens are not keen to do business.
Kauri gum—The market is firm, with an improved demand. Quotations: Ordinary to fair three-quarter scraped 105s, fair, half-scraped 102s (id, brown lair half to three-quarter-scraped 00s, ■brown pickings, common to good 555, bush fair to good pale and amber scraped 14js. The' stock held in London amouato to 051 tons. Wool.—The market is stronger, es pecially for coarse crossbreds.
