LONDON DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs Griffith*? and Cu. are in receipt of tho following butter market report froim .Mieir London principals, Messrs. Mills and 'Sparrow, dated Bth I January, 1909: 1 The weather this morning is rather cooler, but the wintry conditions prevailing in the early part -of last week have disappeared. Danish: A further advance of 4 kroners ha& been made. Siberian: The freshly-made butters arriving this week have met with a ready sale, aud iu some eases 2s advance has been made. French: There is 110 oliange in prices, bant the volume of trade is very much les* than a few weeks back, when prices were low. Australian: A big effort tihs been made on the part of' agents to lever prices up, and most .of the best brands have cleared at an advance. New Zealand: The Rakaia is not yet in, and the Corinthie is only due on the loth. The Piipuroa. will, it is expected, dock to-morrow, aud in a day or so we shall know exactly the extent of the damage, but at time of -writing 110 one knows exactly 'how many have been saved or which marks. In the meantime the market is cj-nito dear. Cheese.—There is a small trade parsing in Canadian,, but it is of a very retail character. The fact of damage of cheese on the iPaparoa has been used to lever prices tip wherever possible. The Corinthic-'s shipment will likely meet a good market.
