TASMANI AN POLICY SPEECH. Iloburt, February HI. The Hon. J. W. Evans, Premier of Tasmania, in a policy speech, placed adherence by the Federal Parliament to the conditions upon which federation was accomplished in the foremost place of his programme. He said he intended to vigorously advertise the Island with a view to aiding the land workers. An endeavour would be made to turn the limitless water supply, to a profitable account in the hope of manufactories being established.
