A DIVORCE CAStS. 3y Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, February 18. In the Divorce Court, C. 1). Henry obtained a deeree nisi for tlie dissolution of his marriage with Aliee Henry. The petitioner was granted the custody of the children. A defence had been'tiled by the defendant, but was withdrawn. Tile ease was heard in camera.
AROHIIJALD McXEIL. Wellington, February IS. Archibald AlcXeil, the habitual criminal who escaped from the gaol and was recaptured, was to-day sentenced to one year's imprisonment and ordered to be kept in close confinement for fourteen days and to lose six months' marks. AI'CKLAXD SESSIONS.
Auckland, hast Xight. At the Supreme Conn to-day a young man named Frederick .Martin was, on a charge of breaking, entering and theft, sentenced to two years' imprisonment.

Albert Robert .Musgrove and Albert Thompson, stork dealers, of Fcildiug, were tried at the Supreme Court to-day for linaclic- of the lliinkmptey Act, the mo-t serious of which was 'obtaining credit by false hafcrnce-sliects. Musgrovc wa- found guilty of not keeping proper book>. incurring debts without reasonable ground* of expectation of being able tn pay the same, and rash speculation, and Thompson of failing to keep proper books, Both were acquitted on the more serious charges. They will be 'sentenced to-niurrow.
A CHAKCE WITHiDRAWX. Wellington, Last Xight, The second charge of sheep-stealing against John O'Keefe.of Martinborough, has been withdrawn. When O'Keefe was acquitted last week on the first charge, the Judge expressed the view that the prosecution could not hope to succeed on the other.
