HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the IBjfh. School Hoard" was held at the Board's office on Wednesday, when there were present: Messrs. M. Fraser (chairman), Percy Smith, Glasgow, Wilson, MaoDiarinid, and Dockrill. Correspondence was read relative to tho admission of paying pupils coming from private or other schools who had not passed the Jifth standard, the Board being desirous of admitting them. ,It ; was resolved that the Principal be instructed to examine pupils presenting thcuisclveß for admission as indicated in the letter from the Assistant-Inspec-tor-Gcneral of Schools.

Necessary repairs at the gymnasium and school were authorised, also additional desks and dumbbells necessitated by the growing attendance at the school. Tho Principal reported that there were now 110 on the roll, which is the largest number yet attending, there 'bring 00 free pupils and 20 paying fees, the latter being nearly double the number for the previous year. i'l'he Principal was requested to supply a list of those who had gone up for examination, and the names of those wlio 'had passed.
