AMUSEMENTS.
THE UXISCOPE PICTURES. The Theatre Royal was again well filled last evening, when the Austral Uuiseopc Co. presented <i very interesting programme. The pictures were new, novel and Hiekerless, while the "turns" of Levarto, ''the American Cinqm-vaUi." were exceptionally meritorious and much appreciated. The company gives its liual performance this evening, when an entirely new programme will be submitted. "THE KILTIES." The world-famous Caledonian brass and reed band, "The Kilties," will give a return performance in the Theatre I Jloyal, New Plymouth, to-morrow evening. Before tire commencement of the concert the Taranaki Garrison Band will play a number of selections in front of the theatre. "The Kilties'' have toured New Zealand since tlwir appearance here early in December, and has played to immense business in all the different centres. The memory of their concert in the Theatre Royal here will live long. The audience was given an absolute treat in band music, choral singing and instrumental solos, and the dancing of the Clan Johnstone troupe was daz'/lingly clever. The programme ior Saturday night's concert has been selected with an eye to giving to the Xew Plymouth public in a couple of hours an idi-.i of what the band can do in all kinds of, concerted music. This means that we are in for a musical treat surrounded hy specially attractive concert features. This great combination has been touring the world for eight wars, and its music 'has made the name of "The Kilties" famous.
