They wanted a ' path formed from the Post Office to the , corner—about ten chains. The Chairman suggested asking the ■ foreman for an 'estimate. Councillor Maxwell said lie understood ' that the foreman was making side . tracks, and in ploughing the ground he [ went close to the fenoe and took- away a temporary footpath. He understood the townspeople would assist in making j | the footpath. Sir. llughson said Mr. Hood would subscribe if the path were taken to the ! hull.
