WEDDINGS.
COOKE—BEALE. At St. Andrew's Church yesterday morning, Miss Esttiia (Essie) Mary Bealc, daughter of Mrs. G. A. Corney. of New Plymouth, was united in holy matrimony" to Mr. T. W. Cooke, of Clinton. The bride having been for many years a member of the'choir and con gregation, the church was prettily decorated by the choir, and the service was fully choral. She was given away by Mr.'G. A. Corney. She wore a charmhg dress of cream silk eolienne, trimmed with chiffon, and the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. She carried a pretty bouquet of white cactus dahlias and iioses. Misses Enid and Dorothy Corney, sisters of the bride, acted as bridesmaids Miss Enid wore cream silk-striped delaine, with pink chiffon hat; and Miss Dorothv a pale blue cashmere, with blue silk"*hat to match. They carried bouquets of pink sweet peas. Mr. E. Avery was best man. and Mr. N. A'Court, of Hawera, groomsman. Rev. S. S. Osborne was the officiating minister. Mr. Mctcalf officiated at tire organ and played " The Wedding March" as the party left the church. A reception was held after the ceremony at the residence of the ibride's mother. The bridegroom's pre sent to the bride was a gold watch •chain, and to the bridesmaids gold tangles. The bride's present to tliiiridegroom was a travelling rug. The happy couple were the recipients of a number of beautiful presents, including a handsome silver hot-water kettle and handbag fiom tin; choir- and congregation of St. Andrews' Church, and a large clock from Mr. Newton King's staff, of which the i.relcproom was reeentlv a member. The couple left, bv the mid-dav train for Wsing.inui, en route for Clinton, their future home. '1 he bride's travelling dress was a grey cos'.tume with blue dust-coat and wlntcpluincd hat.
