ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S CENTENARY. Received February 14, 4.15 p.m. Washington, February 13. The United States House of Representatives listened to ovations in honour of Abraham Lincoln, u ;id applauded a letter from Britain tendering America sympathy in connection with the celebration of his centenary.
IMPERILLING OF PEACE. New York, February 13. Senator Lodge, addressing the Massachusetts Legislature, declared the people would not long suffer foreign relations and peace being imperilled, because one state did not choose to submit to the action of the general Government in a matter wherewith the general Government alone could deal.
