Mart.—On Saturday we had our pout' try pens well lilled with a large variety of poultry. I'rices are on the upward tendency, as under:—Chicks 7d to Ud. young ducks Ud to Is Bd, ducks Is lid to 2» 4il, fat hens 'is to 2» Sd, old do. Is 3d to U Ud, laying pullets 2s to ■is (id, white Leghorns 2s KM, silver Wyandottes 2s 8d to 3s, hen and" - chicks Is Ud. Following the poultry, furniture, etc., sold as usual.

Fruit.—We have had an exceptionally heavy week during the one just past. Kach week-day excepting Thursday we sold between 200 and 300 .boxes, and on Saturday no less than IUS7 boxes were catalogued. With the exception of about 10 boxes all were cleared at the hammer. We think Saturday's consignment of fruit easily constitutes a record for .1 ouo-afternoon's sale. Prices are still .leing well maintained for good; samples and firm fruits, tomatoes and plums being the cheap lines at present.
