At the W'airoa Court, before ~S\r. liarton, S.M., two half-enSKta were charged with supplying liquor at a Cbristnuis feast at Whakapo to male and female natives. Fourteen persons consumed eleven hollies of whisky, and all were drunk. The defence was that the liquor was drunk at a place of supply, ami not taken away from the feast. The Court ruled that the place of supply was Dalgety's licensed wholesale premises, and that accused causcu it to be consumed at a feast. Fines and cosl< inflicted amounted to 035.
