WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD
At the monthly meeting of above Board there were present—Messrs. S. Turnhuß (chairman). Cowiett, Smith, and Yule.
Correspondence was read from Mr. J. B. Roy re deviation of Kelly road; from Moa Road Hoard, notifying thai they proposed deviating the Davis road, and requesting this Board'e consent to sauie; and from Mr. Dodd ajid <• other ratepayers requesting that fyiiith street in Lepperton township he formed. Messrs. Trimble and Henwood attended the meeting and explained the proposed deviation of Davis road., and it was resolved that this Board agree to same. Mr. Dodd attended re formation of Smith street, and it- was decided to expend a sum not exceeding ill on formation.
The Chairman reported that Mr. Smith and himself had arranged with Mr. Bowman to shift the fence by Kellyroad deviation, provided the plans of deviation were signed by Mr. How man.
Tho surfaceman was directed to form the formation on (iviflitli's Hill 011 Richmond road. aNo to put in repair the hill by Wright'* section on upper Mid of Wortlcv road.
Surfaceman Fanl nported that; 11. Jeffrey aud Co. had tinished liieir contract's on Manntalu Ea*l. Manutahi .West, Wortlov. and Richmond roads, having put on the amount'- of metal authorised.
Surfaceman Palmer reported thai hc hi't n engaged forming portion of nnr.H'ialh'd roads, and in metalling on \V(.rih*v. l'ii-innond. and Manutahi Kasl
The Karakoa road leading to Wait am Hridge required tlie boulders taken out.
