The gain on medium ami coarse qualities is lost; values generally are raw about the same as at the December sales. America purchased freely and the market is uncertain but hopeful. The estimated values are a, follows:—Superior merinos ll'/ 2 d to Is l'/,d, medium !)d to lid, inferior Oy,d to B'/,<l, fine crossbreds, all grades Is to Is ly.d, medium BV:,d to ll<l, coarse fid to 9d.
LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable message from their London house, under! date the (ith inst.:—"Wool sales closed linn. As compared with the closing rates of last series scoured merino wools of good quality and condition are par to 5 per cent, lower, and faulty wools of the same class are unchanged. Greasy merino wools are also unchanged. Fine quality crossbred* are ."> per cent, higher, bright medium cross-breds beings to 7'/, per cent, higher.
