Interest is being aroused in the forthcoining championship rowing regatta at Mercer ou Saturday, The Waitemata Boating Club's senior four has been training on the river for the past week, and St. ({forge's double? scullers went up to-day. The Blenheim crew arrived at Onehiniga yesterday, and all wc»|. up to Mercer to-day. Napier and Clifton crews are 'expected to-morrow, and it is anticipated that all competing crews will be on the rivOr by Wednesday. The executive committee of the Auckland Wowing Association visited Mercer on Saturday and completed arrangements for next Saturday. The Maoris are taking great interest in the regatta, and are already arriving at Mercer ill anticipation of the event.
