In consequence of article?, in the newspapers, tlie play "An Englishman at .Home," nml Lord Eslier, through the Daily Mail. Appealing for 11,000 to complete the scheme, a London establishment (an anonymous donor) has forwarded £IO,OOO to the London Territorial Association's fund. The mayors of Loudon boroughs arc calling meetings in •' respect of the scheme. Over 200 large jfirnis are granting territorials three weeks' holiday in order to encourage enlisting. \ . RESPONSE TO AN APPEAL.
