TIN WORK EHS' DISPUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. JJunedin, Last Night. An agreement lias been arrived at in the dispute between the Dunediu Tinsmiths' and Shoet-Meial Workers' Union and employers. The main points are as follow:—Week's work 47 hours; minimum wage Is 2'/ 2 d per hour, with provision for under-rate workers; period of apprenticeship covers six years at following rates of pay per week: First year 7s, second year 10s, third 15s, fourth £l, fifth £1 ss, sixth £1 10s; workmen are to be paid for time and expenses in travelling to and from work outside employers' places of business; there is to be no piece-work; employers are to give preference to unionists, other tilings being ecjual; spouting mnnufacturcres not to he paid less than 9s per day, and it is agreed that no reference be made to canister workers; nnd otic apprentice allowed to three journeymen. The award will come into force on March Ist and continue for one year.
