RECEIPT FOR MAKING TEA SCONES,—HaIf a pound of selfraising Hoar, loz castor sugar, 1 egg, 2ozs butter, '/ozs currants, sufficient milk to make a soft dough. Method—Rub tbe butter into tbe flour: add tbe sugar and currants, and mix with tbe egg (well beaten) and milk ; knead well, and roll out rather thickly; stamp out into mounds; place on a greased baking dish; bake in a fairly hot oven for about tifteen minutes.
