THE CIIERNIAVSKI CONCERT. In connection with th<: forthcoming visit of these wonderful Russian boyprodigies, special mention should be made of the accompanying vocalists in the persons of Madame Marie llooton and Mr. Percival Driver. The former is so well known ill Australasia by reason of her previous tours with Mr. Kilward Branseombe's Westminster Glee Party, that it is unnecessary to do more than mention the name of this gifted artiste. In the recent tour of South Africa Madame Hooton achieved very great distinction by her inimitable renderings of old British folk-songs, and these will form an integral part ot her .work in the coming wncert. Mr. Percival Driver, baritone, is a newcomer, and possesses the proud record of having carried oft the greatest number of prizes at the Royal, Academy "f Music which has ever fallen to the lot of a student at. that famous institution. As a pianist anil composer Mr. Driver lias also achieved distinction in important concerts in the Old Country. Ihe date of the Cheruiavski's visit lias been fixed for Tuesilav next. February oth, in the Theatre Royal. Xew Plymouth, for one recital only, and it is hoped that all lovers of high-class music will be present. The Theatre Roval *ras well filled la--'-night, when the Taylor-Carringtmi Companv's animated pictures were presented.
