The dairy regulations, which were introduced hist session, came in for some discussion at this morning's meeting of Stlie Auckland provincial executive of itlie New Zealand" Fanners' Union. The president (Colonel Allen Hell) said the majority of the farmers were in favor of dairy regulations of some kind, but ■lie thought the Union should call together a conference of farmers to discuss the new regulations. Mr. ilson thought the suggestion a good one. _ He ■felt there was need for good regulations mid if the dairymen of the Dominion could be induced to take every care they would be able to produce butter ■equal to thai manufactured, in Denimark. Mr. Schmidt suggested that th" New Zealand (tovcrnment should copy the Australian legislation on this subject. The president said that there were demands in these regulations which were unreasonable, and it seemed to hill) that they had been drawn up by someone lacking practical experience.
