HUTT LICENSING POLL.
USELESS RECRIMINATION. By Telegraph-—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. The Ilutt Nu-Liceiw League lias passed resolutions that, tlie decision in the recent petition was not consistent with the previous decisions, especially at •Xcwtow.i and Masterfon and was not * fair deduction from the evidence submitted. All witnesses who were summoned should lmve been called in view <ji Che closeness of tlie vote, and the fact that the liench hehl that there well' some irregularities proved that tlio decision that full costs should be paid by the No-License Party was unjust. Licensed victuallers take strong exception to an attack made from the pulpit upon the magistrates who heard the case, and parsed a resolution condemning it and calling for some action to deal with the author and prevent any further circulation of such slanders.
