BAND CONTEST.

WELLINGTON GARRISON'S GRIEVANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association Palmerston N., Last Night. A special meeting of the Executive of (he North Island ISrass Hand Association was held last night to consider the action of Wellington Garrison Hand in circularising bauds •competing in the Hasting., contest. He himself was against the procedure adopted, and considered the matter should have been left to the annual meeting of the Association. Mr. linker (Wellington) considered the Wellington Rami had a grievance, and admitted Hie non-inclusion of Mr. Hill's name on the ballot paper ivas at the bottom of the trouble.
