Captain Selby, master of the steamer Republic, which collided in a fog with the Italian vessel Florida, and John Burns, of Peterborough, England, Marconi operator, on the Republic, on landing at New York were carried shoulder high along the pier. Women mobbed them and smothered them with kisses. MEN'S SERVICES EULOGISED. ■ Received 28, 9.18 p.m. New York, January 28. The State Senate of New York eulogised the services of Burns, the officers and the crews of the Republic and Florida. in connection with the recent collision.
